Confidential care for conditions men put off discussing
Most men wait far too long before getting these conditions looked at — not because the symptoms are mild, but because the consultation feels awkward.
It need not. These are routine conditions here, treated every week, discussed plainly and in private.
If something has been bothering you for more than a few weeks — a tight foreskin, swelling, an ache, a lump, or a worry about fertility — then yes. Most of these conditions are benign and many are straightforward to treat, particularly early. What they share is that they rarely resolve on their own, and that embarrassment is the main reason men delay. An examination takes minutes and usually settles the question one way or the other.
What We Treat
Each of these is treated regularly at Lapser, with day-care procedures wherever possible.
Removal of the foreskin, performed for tight foreskin, recurrent infections or hygiene concerns. Laser and stapler methods mean minimal bleeding and faster healing.
Circumcision treatmentA foreskin too tight to retract over the head of the penis. Mild cases may respond to conservative measures; others need a procedure.
Phimosis treatmentA short frenulum can cause pain or tearing during intercourse. Frenuloplasty releases it while preserving the foreskin.
Frenuloplasty treatmentA painless collection of fluid causing scrotal swelling. Usually non-cancerous, but persistent swelling should always be assessed.
Hydrocele treatmentEnlarged veins within the scrotum, similar to varicose veins in the legs. One of the most common correctable causes of male fertility problems.
Varicocele treatmentA minor day-care procedure providing permanent birth control for men, with no effect on hormones, sexual function or testosterone.
Vasectomy informationYour Privacy
Embarrassment is the single commonest reason men leave these conditions untreated, often for years. Meanwhile a tight foreskin keeps causing infections, a hydrocele keeps growing, and a varicocele keeps affecting fertility.
Every consultation here takes place in a private room. Records are confidential. Nothing you describe will be treated as unusual, because it almost certainly is not.
If you would rather bring your partner, that is welcome. If you would rather come alone and in the evening, that is easily arranged.
A straightforward consultation, with time for questions and no pressure to proceed.
When to Get Checked
Any of these is reason enough to book a consultation.
Some symptoms need same-day care rather than an appointment. The following are not conditions to wait on.
Diagnosis
Diagnosis comes first. Treatment follows from what it shows, not the other way round.
A confidential discussion and examination in a private room, without rush or judgement.
A quick, painless scan that distinguishes a hydrocele from a varicocele or other causes of swelling.
Where fertility is a concern, a semen analysis gives a clear picture rather than a guess.

Frequently Asked
Yes. Consultations take place in private rooms, records are kept confidential, and evening appointments are available if that is easier. Partners are welcome where you would prefer that.
No. You can book directly. If you have seen another doctor already, bringing their notes and any scans avoids repeating tests.
Not necessarily. Several of these conditions can be monitored or treated conservatively. Surgery is recommended when there is a clear reason for it.
Most are. Circumcision, vasectomy, hydrocele and varicocele procedures commonly allow patients to go home the same day.
Medically necessary procedures are commonly covered, subject to your policy terms. Elective procedures such as vasectomy may not be. See the insurance support page.
Delay is extremely common with these conditions, and most are not urgent. That said, several get harder to treat the longer they are left, and a few — such as a retracted foreskin that will not return — need same-day care.
Whatever has been bothering you, it has almost certainly been seen here before. A consultation is confidential, unhurried and carries no obligation to proceed.
The information on this page is for general awareness and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Suitability for any procedure, recovery times and outcomes vary from person to person and are determined only after clinical evaluation. Sudden severe testicular pain, rapid scrotal swelling, or a retracted foreskin that will not return to its normal position require urgent medical attention.
